LEGO Liang is an artist who comes from an Eastern roots, skilled as both an entrepreneur and a creator.
As a child raised in Guangdong, a city representing a fresh start and innovation, he witnessed China’s gradual embrace to the world. The clash and exchange between Eastern cultures and the globe shaped his rich and contradictory worldview.
These experiences facilitated his growth and viewpoints amidst radical change and upheaval, empower him to innovate and create in ways that defy most traditional conventions. Such unconventional approaches are rarely witnessed among other artists with more conventional aesthetic backgrounds. At a very young age, he swiftly mastered traditional Chinese painting, marking the genesis of his creative journey. LEGO’s most renowned creation, ‘GWONG TAU ZAI,’ is a chubby figure devoid of facial features, with a diminutive stature and incomplete extremities.
