LEGO’s Paradise | Update with Design Shanghai 2023

In 2023, Design Shanghai, which has returned to the limelight after the epidemic era, celebrates its 10th anniversary. As Asia’s authoritative international design event, this is not the first time for ‘GWONG TAU ZAI’ to come here, and in 2023, ‘LEGO’s Paradise’ will debut with a brand new shop, which is the same as Design Shanghai’s globally orientated and diversified vision that we have been doing our best to achieve.

“New” is the key word we see in Design Shanghai this year, and it is also the first impression we present to the public as a brand participating in Design Shanghai.

New Exhibition Halls

This year, Design Shanghai has been newly upgraded and expanded, and on the basis of the original Hall 1 and Hall 2, it has unlocked Hall 3 for the first time, exploring the mingling and balance of Eastern and Western design concepts with all walks of life on a larger scale and with a stronger line-up.

The three pavilions are respectively themed on “furniture and lighting design”, “new materials and applications in kitchen and bathroom design” and “lifestyle and accessory design”, through ten special plans and four forums, Through ten special plans, four forums, more than a hundred thought collisions and colourful design activities.

LEGO’s Paradise

The “LEGO’s Paradise” is located in the brand new Hall 3, which is more of a spiritual precipitation than the experience of visiting the exhibition.

In the small booth, a beam of light shines through the curtain of brand introduction and shines on the skinhead sculpture, which reflects the funny and playful skinhead patterns printed on the red, blue and green walls.

The eye-catching red lattice window cabinets, hammock stools, audio, paintings and other art products echo the theme of playfulness throughout the space with experiences from different senses, so that people can not only casually walk through them, but also discover the unfolding story.

Design Shanghai has long been keenly aware that interior home furnishings are reshaping our lives, and how to use design to change the face of contemporary home life for the better is something that Design Shanghai and exhibiting brands have been exploring and practising.

We saw different people on the show floor, people looking at paintings, people buying bags, people sitting on stools and taking photos, all of them represent the pursuit and choice of a lifestyle.

New Products

Design Shanghai is undoubtedly the best stage for brands to debut new products. In 2023, the 10th anniversary of Design Shanghai will be celebrated with the debut of a brand new section, New Product Launch, which presents a selection of more than 1,000 new products, and more than 40 new products presenting forward-looking design trends, which will be the icing on the cake for the 10th anniversary of Design Shanghai.

The ‘GWONG TAU ZAI’ Art Table Lamp was selected for the New Product Launch unit, and the new product is the first time to be released and unveiled globally, which is simultaneously presented in Design Shanghai’s New Product Showcase and the “LEGO’s Paradise” booth.

‘GWONG TAU ZAI’ and Design Shanghai have always had a close relationship. In 2017, ‘GWONG TAU ZAI’ visited Design Shanghai with the light sculpture interactive installation “Blow me again and I’ll be angry”, which left a lingering figure in people’s mind. If that appearance enhanced the audience’s affection and goodwill towards ‘GWONG TAU ZAI’, this time, for ‘GWONG TAU ZAI’, it is an opportunity to meet consumers at home.

New Experience

Cinemaster’s booth in Hall 1, Furniture and Lighting Design, is a field surrounded by a variety of high-quality sound.

The originator of French spherical speakers, elipson, the Swiss brand Geneva, famous for its minimalist sound, and the leading French coaxial audio brand cabasse presented a variety of iconic speaker products.

There were many eye-catching pieces of artwork interspersed in the scene.

The “I’ve Loved You Four Times” neon sign created by LEGO LIANG based on ‘GWONG TAU ZAI’ was seen as lighting up the atmosphere of the entire elipson area.

The most eye-catching is the painting made by LEGO for the Swiss audio brand Geneva’s Geneva Sound Speaker classic s.

On the spot, follow the notes of Geneva and ‘The lonely walker -Into the woods’.
