Rabbits are characters in fairy tales, which can evoke people’s childhood memories and good yearnings. But at one point in Australia’s history, rabbit populations caused a serious imbalance of endemic species here, and they faced the “punishment” of being culled. The situation of rabbits also aroused the thinking of the artists. In the giant light sculpture「Intrude Family」, artist Amanda Parer enlarged the proportion of rabbits in a humorous way, causing the public to think about the relationship between ecological balance and natural co-prosperity.
